Water Ring Vacuum Pump for Engraving Machine

2BV water ring vacuum pumps are matched with engraving machines (CNC wood nesting machines & CNC precision engravers). Their core function is to supply negative pressure for the vacuum adsorption worktable of the machine tool. It firmly fixes plates on the work surface, replacing clamping fixtures to realize continuous engraving and cutting without hold-down clamps.
Applicable plates: MDF, solid wood, acrylic, PVC, aluminum sheet, thin glass and other plate materials. Widely used in whole-house customization, advertising sign and mold engraving industries.
2. Working Principle
Clean water is filled into the pump as working fluid. The motor drives the eccentric impeller to rotate at high speed. Centrifugal force throws water toward the inner wall of the pump casing to form a rotating water ring. The eccentric structure of the impeller makes the volume of the chambers between blades expand and shrink periodically, continuously extracting air from the pipelines of the engraving machine table to form stable negative pressure and strong adsorption force.
It is an oil-free vacuum pump with isothermal gas compression and high safety.
3. Main Structure (Complete Unit)
The main unit mostly adopts 2BV direct-coupled water ring vacuum pump. The whole adsorption system consists of:
2BV pump main body + motor
Circulation water tank (water storage, cooling, gas-water separation)
Pre-filter and liquid trap (block wood chips and dust from entering pump cavity to protect the pump)
Vacuum check valve: prevent backflow of tank water into engraving machine table after shutdown
Accessories including pipelines, valves, negative pressure gauge, etc.

Ultimate vacuum can generally reach -0.097MPa, meeting the requirement of plate adsorption.
5. Product Advantages
Stable suction: Compared with dry vacuum blowers, it features higher negative pressure and firmer adsorption. Thin plates are less prone to displacement and vibration for higher precision of engraved sections.
Dust resistance: The water medium can wash away a small amount of wood dust, with better fault tolerance. A small amount of wood chips will not easily damage the pump.

6. Operation & Maintenance Notes
Circulating water must be filled before startup. Never start without water, otherwise the mechanical seal may burn out.
Softened water is preferred. Hard water will easily cause scaling and reduce vacuum degree after long-term use.
Regularly clean wood chips in the pre-filter and replace circulating water in the water tank periodically.
Keep pipelines well sealed; air leakage will directly lead to insufficient adsorption force.
Drain residual water inside the pump after shutdown in low-temperature environment to prevent pump cracking caused by freezing.
